A foreign PLLC or PC (professional service limited liability company or professional service corporation) may apply for authority to practice in the State of New York by filing an Application for Authority with the New York Department of State. Consents must first be obtained from the NYS Education Department. The out-of-state company must also obtain a Certificate of Good Standing and other potential documents from their home jurisdiction to be submitted with the Application for Authority.
